Since the fall of 2003,

HCC has sent over 50 volunteers to China’s orphanages, raised over $200,000 to fund surgeries and cover operational costs, and helped build children's homes and a school for visually impaired orphans.

Brother and Sisters...

Begun in 2005, our XiongDi JieMei "Brother and SIster" mentoring program has now successfully fostered over 40 mentor-mentee relationships.

Dumplings Playgroups

Since 2003, HCC has held over 50 Dumplings playgroups for adopted children from China ages 3-8. Each playgroup is focused on a different theme, ranging from Chinese New Year to Chinese cartoons.

Make a difference.

Every year, HCC sends 10 to 20 volunteers to orphanages in China. There, some volunteers act as translators, others as English teachers or playmates. All leave touched by the kids they have met, convinced of their ability to make a difference.

Who We Are

Harvard China Care is a student-run organization at Harvard College that brings together a team of dedicated undergraduates determined to help build brighter futures for abandoned, orphaned, and special-needs children in China.

Since the fall of 2003, HCC has sent over 90 volunteers to China’s orphanages, raised over $250,000 to fund surgeries, cover operational costs of children's homes, and build a school for visually impaired orphans. Back on campus, we have grown from a handful of students hovered around a breakfast table to a large organization that has overseen more than 70 Dumplings playgroups and successfully fostered over 70 mentor-mentee relationships.

HCC's 10-Year Anniversary Gala

Join us on Friday, November 8 at the Knafel Center in Harvard Square as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the founding of the China Care Clubs with special guest Joseph Vincent. From the humble dreams of one teen, we have grown into an expansive network of clubs across the nation, making an impact across the world, working towards one goal: to better the lives of orphaned children and adopted Chinese children. For the special evening, we will be bringing together members of China Care Clubs from around the nation, China Care alums whose lives have been touched through their work in the clubs, families of adopted children who have been part of our Mentoring and Dumplings programs, and the many other people, organizations, and sponsors who have made it all possible.
