A little about our teams:
Harvard has both an A team (Red Line) and a B team (Bred Line). Our A team is a perennial contender out of the New England Region. Last year we placed second at regionals, en route to an 11th place finish at the College Championships in Corvallis, Oregon.
While we play year-round, the college season is not until the Spring. During the Fall we travel to some tournaments around the region, focusing on developing younger players, building a base for the Spring season, and having fun. When the cold winter months hit, we have an 8-team indoor league, yielding much trash talk. Once January rolls around, we split into our A team and our B team and train for the Spring, which includes tournaments around the country, Spring Break in the South, and then a local tournament to tune up before Sectionals, Regionals, and Nationals.
Last Year:
5/2: For the first time since 2001 and for the third time in team history, Harvard Men's Ultimate made Nationals this past weekend by placing second overall at New England Regionals. After an early loss to Williams on Saturday, the team battled back with five straight wins in do-or-die games against Roger Williams, UMass, Tufts, Williams (again), and Dartmouth to claim the remaining bid to Corvallis, OR where Nationals will take place this year. The weekend was incredible! To read Jack's write-up, click here. For the article from the Harvard Crimson, click here.
