Subject: Adam Sandler Date: Mon, 27 Jul 1998 10:57:35 -0300 Moron! Adam Sandler is a kick ass comedian. So don't fit his songs to be religous. There is no hidden meaning, YOU READ TO MUCH INTO THINGS! Leave Sandler nonsense to just that!

Date: Sun, 07 May 2000 05:51:33 -0400 Subject: Goat Song Greetings: If you're still working on this piece, which includes the following anaylsis: <quote> "His drink, Jimmy Beam / His chaser, a beer / After that, various alcohols" Not quite sure. Perhaps it could mean that the "Old Man" was drunk, i.e. his actions were not rational, but a result of mental incapacitation- like the mob mentality of pogroms, etc. </quote> Have you considered an analysis of how the alcoholic beverages fit in? "His drink, Jimmy Beam / His chaser, a beer / After that, various alcohols" His drink, Jimmy Beam = Whiskey (Irish immigrants to the USA?) His chaser, a beer = German immigrants to the USA? After that, various alcohols = the "melting pot" of U.S. immigration? As more and more groups came to the U.S., a "pecking order" of sorts developed, with the Jews occupying one of the lower levels, as exemplified by a popular song of the early 20th century -- "If it Wasn't For the Irish and the Jews" (released on Victor Records, c. 1915) Later on: "His eyes filled with tears of sadness / His heart was filled with grief / To soothe himself he drank a pint of Old Granddad / And beat me like a side of beef." Old Granddad = "conservative" ethnocentrism after the "liberal" (come one, come all, come to Amerika) immigration wave, perhaps galvanized by the Great Depression? Towards the end of the "Goat Song": I'm not your friend, I don't even like you / I'm just not drunk,' he said / To prove his point, he drank a bottle of grain alcohol / And beat the fucking shit out of my head Grain alcohol = distilled or "purified" Arayan race, or the ideal thereof? Post-war neo-Nazis? Let me know if this is useful to you. Regards, Xxxxx

Subject: The goat song Date: Wed, 27 Dec 2000 01:08:43 -0800 Adam Sandler is a very strange and creative person who I don't think is that religiously deep. I wouldn't be surprised if the man didn't even know about the 49-year calendar thing. The "spraying with shit" part is hard to interpret because it doesn't mean anything except for goat spraying a bunch of people with shit. All in all, I think you are mentally ill and should seek professional help.
