GSAS Student Group Funding Application

The GSC considers group funding requests three times each academic year. For the 2007-08 academic year, the deadlines to submit funding request applications are:

  • For the November meeting: October 24 2007
  • For the February meeting: January 23 2008
  • For the April meeting: March 19 2008

    All applications are due at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. In addition to submitting a complete application, at least one student representative from each group must attend the GSC meeting when funding decisions are announced.

    The following items are necessary for a complete application. It is your responsibility to submit a completed application by the deadline. First, make sure to read the the Student Group Funding Application Guidelines.

    1. Application Form(s)

      Form 1: Operational Expenses

        *Form 1 must be completed for all funding requests.

      Form 2: Special event funding only
      (Download Editable PDF)

         *Complete a separate copy of Form 2 FOR EACH special event. Only one copy of Form 1 is necessary.
            
         
      With Adobe Acrobat Reader, you will only be able to print the form, but not save it. You will need Adobe Acrobat Professional to Edit and Save your form for upload. This software is available for free for all Harvard Students, accessible with your Harvard PIN. Click Here for instructions.

    2. Budget
      Please UPLOAD a copy of the group's budget for the period for which you are requesting funding (Microsoft Word/Excel, PDF, or text files accepted). Failure to supply a budget will result in automatic denial by the GSC. The budget should include, in sufficient detail, your group's income, expenses and the amount being request from the GSC. You are advised to be as detailed and specific as possible.

    3. Publicity (Optional)
      Please UPLOAD posters, flyers, or other publicity for your student group. (JPG/JPEG, PDF, Microsoft Word files accepted). Posters and publicity for events and activities from previous years are acceptable. Uploading publicity is not required but it can only help your application. 1-2 posters are sufficient.

      *You may upload and OVERWRITE your application form as many times as you want up until the deadline.
    Also, be sure to keep electronic and/or printed copies for your records.

    Uploading your PDF student group funding application is strongly preferred. However, in case you experience technical difficulties when submitting your form, you may email us your application as an attachment. Due to the large volume of correspondence received, you may experience a delay in receiving confirmation of receipt. All emails should be sent to:
