The Harvard Chess Club Welcomes You!

The Harvard Chess Club, founded in 1874, is the oldest chess club in the Boston area. We have several strong experts but welcome players of all strengths. Besides meeting weekly to play, teach, and study chess, our club hosts on-campus tournaments, sends out teams to compete in various intercollegiate matches (such as the annual Harvard-Yale match, the Annual Eastern Team Championship, and in the past, matches against Peking University), and is actively involved in chess programs in the community.
