Welcome to the Tribute to Black Men Website!
Welcome to the official website for the 11th annual “Tribute to Black Men” event. For the past ten years, the members of the Association of Black Harvard Women (ABHW) have come together to honor the men at Harvard and beyond who have aided and led the Black community. “Tribute to Black Men” is ABHW’s largest event of the year. Our purpose is to promote political awareness and cultural appreciation on Harvard’s campus, as well as celebrate the contributions and leadership efforts of African-American men. In a world where black males are too often negatively stereotyped, we believe it is important to acknowledge their positive, yet often overlooked contributions to society. In comparison to what these young men have achieved on campus and what we hope for them in the future, our event is a small token of our appreciation. Please explore the website to learn more about the events and history of “Tribute to Black Men.” We hope that you find the young men inspiring and understand why we believe it is important to host a night that pays tribute to the men we have come to know so well during our four years at Harvard.
