
On Wednesday at our first comp session, Evan Ortiz mentioned a fundamental of advertising: to get people to buy your product you have to get your name out there. But in this day and age, where everyone’s attention is diverted by a million different flashing lights, you have to put yourself out there in a big way. Here’s where guerrilla marketing comes in. Shock and awe appears to have the most lasting claim to people’s attention. Whether it’s a flashmob or sending media outlets a giant joint, giving people something to tweet about is one of the best ways to get your name out there.
