Call for Papers



The Department of Linguistics at Harvard University will

host the 18th annual meeting of the Austronesian Formal

Linguistics Association.  The conference dates are

March 4–6, 2011

Abstracts are invited for 30 minute talks (20+10) or

poster presentations on any aspect of formal

linguistics (morphology, phonetics, phonology, syntax,

semantics) of any Austronesian language(s).  Abstracts

on the historical linguistics of any Austronesian language(s)

are also invited. Submission limitations are one

singly–authored abstract and one jointly-authored abstract, or two jointly-authored abstracts per applicant.  Abstracts should be limited to a maximum of two Letter-sized (or A4) pages (for text, examples, trees, tableaux, and references), with margins of one inch and in 12 pt. type.  

Abstracts should be submitted as pdf files online, on the AFLA 18 submission website listed below:

Note that you have to create a password before it is possible to upload your abstract, and that you must supply a .pdf version of the abstract. Only abstracts uploaded before the final deadline at the conference website and only those following the guidelines specified above will be accepted.
