Seminar TopicThe Ethics of Health Care Rationing
There are more interventions that patients desire and physicians want to prescribe than even the wealthiest of societies can provide. As important as health and health care are, they are not the only goods that we care about. This seminar will discuss how societies can set limits and ration in ways that are clinically informed, ethically justifiable and potentially socially/politically acceptable.
