Harvard Dudley Dragon Boat Team

Harvard Dudley paddling through a race

The Harvard Dudley Dragon Boat Team is a group of students, staff, and faculty from Harvard and its affiliates, who participate in the sport of dragon boating. We have competed throughout the Northeast and internationally since 1999. We welcome all levels of skill and interest.

Our 2009 season is over! We will start again in April 2010. Watch the mailing list for announcements and off-season activities.

We hold regular practices on the Charles River three times a week: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 PM, and Saturdays at 11 AM. Boats leave promptly, so be early! No matter your experience level, just come to our regular practices, and we'll get your started. You may wish to contact the HDDBC officers (below) to let someone know you're coming, in the rare event of a cancellation.

Subscribe to our email lists to keep informed of club activities. Join the announcements mailing list for important team news and practice notifications; you can also join dragonboat-open, an open list for questions to the group, planning social activities, sharing news about the sport, etc.

For the 2009 season, team members who are not GSAS students are asked to contribute $20 for the year's expenses. You do not need to pay this immediately; we're happy to let you try a practice or two to see if you like it first. Please see joining us for more information on this, and other costs involved in participating.

Write to us at dboat { a t } hcs.harvard.edu for more information.
