All, 3 of 4 results are in from the season opener of the Jack MacKinnon Marsh Memorial Indoor League. Due to time constraints, Team Prendergast and MILFS had to stop at 6-6. The remainder of that game will be played at a time TBD. The rest of the evening played out thusly Crisp (Moss) v. No Comment (Dorer) Missing early rounders Vivek and Tiger, Crisp benefitted from the gutsy performance of Chris "Mono" Stevens, who turned in a strong +4 performance. Neverthless, they stuggled with attendance, and fatigue may have been a factor down the line. No Comment Turned out in force, and the mid-game arrival of rookie duo Owen and Seitz gave them just the boost they needed. With fresher legs, No Comment guts out a 12-10 victory. This game also saw a mediocre performance by Jeff "Jefe" Listfield, who is a very mediocre player. Browning v. Lewallen The battle of the unnamed teams came down to experience. The veteran trio of Willie, Joey, and Arthur was Team Browning's bread and butter, with Rudolph tying the week high with 7 goals thrown. Willie looks good despite his long absence and stops tim from hauling in countless AJ hucks. Team Lewallen averages only 2 years of HMF experience between them, and the chemistry fails to materialize. Browning rolls, 14-7. All those who had "Week 1" in the Adam Kapor Death Pool lose. Odds for Week 2 are currently 4:1. Team Kong Sucks v. Team Lubin With each team missing two of its top three picks, this game tested the captains' late-round draft strategy, and was decided largely by some younger guys. Team Lubin started with only 4, and dug themselves a deep hole early from which they couldn't recover. Thereafer, Team Lubin relied on Captain Lubin alternating between streaking deep for, and putting it up for Velez TKS got an incredible performance from Captain Sheth, who lit up Gordon, throwing 7 goals. More subs and more handlers propel TKS to a 14-8 victory. MILFS v. Team Prendergast In a game shortened by time constraints, MILFS and Niall's boys battled to a 6-6 draw, with the remainder of the game to be played at a later date. Highlights include Mike Joshi tallying 3 of MILFS 6 goals, and the breif appearance of Will Chen, who arrived in time to play 2 points, and tally 1 throwaway. Notables: One of Pi's 5 Goals Thrown came after he pointed to the spot for 2 whole stalls. Each seeing limited minutes, McRae ends with better stats than Will Chen Kevin Seitz records the season's first bookends to take half against Crisp.
