Ana Angelovska
ana_angelovska@college.harvard.edu
Hello! Hola! Zdravo!!!! Congrats on coming to Harvard and welcome to FIP! My name is Ana and I come from the mythical land of Macedonia (I understand if this is the first time you heard about it) where we speak Macedonian. I am a rising sophomore in Eliot House and I’m doing a joint concentration in Social Anthropology and Latin American Studies. I am a passionate member of Woodbridge Society and its Outreach Committee but besides that also a part of the Harvard South Slavic Society - so all you Balkan people give me a shout out. When I am not doing academic stuff, I love exploring the beauty of Boston, going to concerts and making the most out of the weekend with my friends. Also, I have a great love for photography and movies. Once again, welcome, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to email me! See you soon!

Macarena Arias
vmarias@college.harvard.edu
Hello FIPpers! My name is Macarena (like the song) Arias, and I am from Lima, Peru, one of the coolest countries in South America! As a rising pre-med and sophomore in Kirkland house, I intend to concentrate in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with no secondary field, due to my ridiculously extended range of interests. Here at Harvard, I have been a part of HNMUN, HOLA (Harvard Organization for Latin America, if you are Latin American or not, join!), and other volunteer activities, including a soon-to-be clown doctor program. I am obsessed with languages, colorful objects, British accents (still don’t know why, I just am) and traveling. Other interests include dancing to Latin music, singing my heart out in karaoke and laughing at really bad jokes. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask! We are all very excited to meet you and have you during FIP 2011!

Kidus Asfaw
kasfaw@college.harvard.edu
Hey everyone! My name is Kidus, and I'm a rising Junior at Harvard. I hail from the lovely city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is the fourth highest elevated capital city in the world. In fact, my home city's altitude has caused Addis Ababans to have such an amazing lung capacity and an off-the charts red blood cell count that even Darwin is reminded of Destiny's Child's "Survivor" every time he sees an Ethiopian.
I would like to congratulate the freshmen of the Class of 2015 on getting accepted into Harvard. Each one of you was one of 6 people chosen from a line of 100 bright and talented students and you should be proud of that.
At Harvard, I'm an Applied Mathematics concentrator, and my track in this concentration is Computer Sciences and Economics. Outside class, I like to spend time around Model United Nations, Woodbridge, and Harvard African Students' Association people. I also play more Super Smash Bros. on my roommate's Nintendo 64 than I'd like to admit. Again, welcome to all of you and I hope to see you in August!

Giacomo Bagarella
giacomo.bagarella@college.harvard.edu
Giacomo is a rising Junior studying Government with a secondary field in Psychology and a citation in Arabic language. He is from Vicenza and is Italian by birth and sentiment but has traveled and lived all around the world (nanananananana), in places such as Argentina, Vietnam, and Macedonia. Giacomo is a connoisseur of good foods (he is a skilled cook), fine football (the real kind, which he plays and follows), and history. Outside of school and Woodbridge, he does Model UN and political activism around campus. Giacomo lives in Currier House, the only undergraduate residential mansion – built in a flaring post-Soviet style – to offer such amenities as kitchens, bathtubs, and enormous common rooms to its distinguished residents.

Nina Buchmann
nina.buchmann@college.harvard.edu
Hey guys, I’m Nina Buchmann and I’m your DIFA (Dictator - *cough cough* - Director of International Freshman Affairs) for this year’s FIP. This means that I am utterly obsessed with planning my life along with those of everyone else around me! It also means that if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions you can come talk to me right away and I will be able to help you. (I mean, you can go to other FIP leaders, they will be helpful as well, but I would love to meet all of you individually, so just come find me!) To talk a little about myself, I’m from Frankfurt, Germany and am a rising junior, living in Leverett House (aka the best house on campus). I am an economics concentrator with a great degree of love for international relations and finance. Please don’t be intimidated by my running around, it stems from my being a perfectionist and if you do appreciate German sense of humor, I’m full of it and already love you. But even if you don’t, we can still be friends, I’m actually a very caring and friendly person (I promise). I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and organize at least 4 days of your time here at Harvard! Much love!

Evan Covington
ecovingt@fas.harvard.edu
My name is Evan, and I am a rising senior from the glorious Republic of Texas - Houston to be more exact. I'm a bit of a weird case in the fact that I am American, but can become international if Texas chooses to leave the United States. I also have a slight Texan accent at times! I'm concentrating in East Asian Studies with a focus on China and doing a secondary field in Anthropology. I'm a huge fan of sushi and dancing the night away at parties. I have even been compared to Barack Obama on several occasions outside of the US even though I am of no relation whatsoever. I love swimming & water polo and have one of the loudest laughs you will ever hear - I'm serious on this one! I love getting to know new people and am so excited to meet and get to know all of you throughout the course of this upcoming year. Cheers!

Tom Dan
tomdan@college.harvard.edu
Hey guys. My name is Tom and I’m a rising Junior from Ramat-Gan, Israel. I graduated from high school at 2005 and then did my army service (which makes me a bit too old). A month after I got discharged I came here to start my first year at Harvard – and it’s been an amazing ride since. I loved doing Crew (and then quitting), being a Woodbridge board member, doing World Model UN and just sitting out in the yard with my Eurotrash roommates doing nothing (under the sun, or more likely – in the snow). I’m concentrating in economics with a secondary in government. And…that’s just about it.

Colm Dubhrosa
dubhrosa@college.harvard.edu
My name is Colm. I am from Belfast in Northern Ireland, and I hope to study a mixture of Neuroscience, Visual Arts, Languages and Literature for the remainder of my time at Harvard. As one of the FIP pensioners, I will be sure to put my maturity to good use on the FIP team. I hope you will all have the best time during FIP that you could possibly have. I hope you're excited.

Stephane Fouche
sfouche@college.harvard.edu
Bonjour, sak pase, waddup, hola, ossu!!! The name is Stephane E.
Fouche and Congrats on coming to Harvard! A little about my past, I
was born in Canada but I was raised in Haiti. Due to a Coup d'etat
that took place in Haiti when I was 12 years old, I had to move to the
United States. During that time I did not know a word of English,
except for "I'm Hungry" and "Where is the bathroom?". Aside from
these two phrases what else do you need to know?!?! Currently I am a
rising sophomore in Cabot House. As for my concentration well it is a
bit complicated... I am concentrating in Sociology with Economics as a
secondary and completing Foreign Language Citations in French,
Spanish, and Japanese. I love to dance, hang out with friends and
above all going out to eat. Finally, I would like to say once again,
Welcome to Harvard!

Paul Glootz
pglootz@college.harvard.edu
As an international student from Germany, I grew up as the oldest of 5 children on a farm in rural Germany, close to Magdeburg, the capital of Saxony-Anhalt. I started playing the accordion and piano at an early age and have kept music as a big part of my life ever since. During my high school years, I enjoyed physics and science competitions. Now at college, I am concentrating in economics, have developed a great interest in the Chinese language and am playing volleyball as a member of the Harvard Men's Volleyball team. I have a tractor’s license and a dry sense of humor. I am looking forward to meeting all the new international freshmen – I am sure we’ll have a great time during your first weeks at school!

Andrew Hadad
andrew_hadad@college.harvard.edu
Hey FIPpers! My name is Andrew, and I hail from the world-renowned Trinidad & Tobago (in the Caribbean). I’m a rising sophomore, going from the (not-so) beautiful Canaday Hall to the great home of MonkeyBread and Rabbits, LEV!!!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjBuTfZ6vpM) Currently, I’m planning on being a Mechanical Engineering concentrator with a secondary in Economics but who knows what I’ll end up doing. Outside of boring academics, I’m big into cricket and (not American) football. Sadly I support the two most heartbreaking teams ever – West Indies and Arsenal – but I’m still a diehard fan. Despite being into engineering, I enjoy exercising and I absolutely love music and the arts, and if you find yourself talking to me about those things, may god help you because I will ramble on for days! FIP ’11 is gonna be ‘rell bess’ (Trinidadian for amazing)!
Geraldine Jowett
gmjowett@college.harvard.edu
Hey FIPpers! I’m Geraldine and I am a rising Sophomore in MATHER House of concrete seduction. I am from Germany’s best city (which would be Munich, don’t believe anything Nina, Paul or Fritzi have to say on this subject), but am French and English and therefore enjoy confusing the natives with my British accent and the use of words like “jumper” and “sloshed”. Yes, get used to no one listening to what you say anymore, just to how you say it. I plan on concentrating in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary in Mind Brain and Behavior, but I spend most of my time in life successfully perfecting the art of procrastination. Outside of academics I walked onto the lightweight crew team, play IM football (the one where the foot is involved) and foosball, and am in an open relationship with fair Woodbridge, my family away from home. I also enjoy spending ridiculous amounts of time in dining halls and being whipped away to plays, concerts and parties by my roommates and friends. I am really so psyched about meeting you all this summer, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to chat, and GET EXCITED as you are in for a fantastic time during FIP!!!

Dany Jradi
danyjradi@college.harvard.edu
Greetings everyone! My name is Dany and I come from the ancient city of Tyre in the south of Lebanon, birthplace of Europa! I am a rising sophomore willing to concentrate in Engineering Sciences but my ultimate goal is attending Law School. Before coming to Harvard, I went to school in Britain for two years so I have a hard time convincing people that I am not British. It doesn’t help that I have a posh British accent, which, for all you Brits out there, will by the way help you charm all them Americans, so if you don’t have one, start working on it! With an interest in international affairs I joined the International Relations Council once I arrived at Harvard, staffing two excellent Model United Nations conferences, and I hope that I will start editing for the Harvard International Review once again. I tried out rowing but unfortunately once the other FIP leader, Oliver, dazed off and crashed our boat, breaking our fin before our coach could shout out ‘Oliver! When we wanna go for a picnic I’ll tell you we’re goin’ for a picnic!’, the whole team was kicked out. Harvard is a spectacular place and you are in for a blast. Wherever you’re from, you’ll never be more thrilled to meet someone who could not be more different from you. Don’t quote me on it in a year though!

Yannis Kalogirou Valtis
kalogir@fas.harvard.edu
Yannis is a rising senior in Leverett House from Thessaloniki, Greece (no this is not close to Athens)! He went to a German High School in Greece and loves showing off his German language skills when he meets native speakers but he has realized that living in America makes his German worse. For the time being, he is studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology (I know, it does sound fancy) but he is also flirting with a minor in Math. He wants to go to med school eventually but thinking of the future scares him so he prefers not to. In his free time Yannis starts various activities that he soon abandons. His one and only true love is Woodbridge and the Outreach Committee! From time to time he also gets involved in the queer community at Harvard and in Boston. Other than that, he loves complaining about the weather in Boston which is far worse than you might have been told, especially for people coming from the Mediterranean. Yannis wants you to email him with questions about l or just to express your excitement about FIP and the coming year!

Imane Karroumi
imanekarroumi@college.harvard.edu
Imane is a rising sophomore in Leverett House (the International House at Harvard). She lived in the BEST freshman dorm of all: Thayer Hall (no other dorms beats its entryways and its closeness to the Science Center and Annenberg, especially during the Oh-so-cold New England winter). She is one of the two Moroccan nationals in the University so far and is planning on concentrating in Environmental Engineering with a secondary field in Economics. She loves football (fan of the team that will beat up Real Madrid at least two other times this season) and Tennis (Vamos Rafa!) and played IM football as part of the Thayer Doomsayers team. Imane is part of the Harvard Arab Society and was involved with HUNICEF in the fall. A 2010 Fipper herself, she is so excited to be a FIP leader this year and can’t wait to meet you all very soon!!!
Alexander Koenig
akoenig@college.harvard.edu
Alex is a rising sophomore in Currier House - formerly residing in the best freshman dorm of all: Weld Hall. Despite both his parents being American, he considers himself an international. Part of this is because he has lived in 8 countries (Singapore, Indonesia, Cyprus, Greece, Belgium, Germany, Italy and the US of A); part of it's because Internationals are generally cooler people and he wants to be cool by association. He is concentrating in Government with a secondary field in Statistics, holding on to the unrealistic dream that he might one day get a job in sports management. He writes for the Crimson, the Harvard Political Review and the Harvard Sports Analysis Collective (HSAC - that's cash backwards), and enjoys ice cream and a nice pair of slacks.

Nicholas Kogl
nicholaskogl@college.harvard.edu
Howzit, Howzat! My name is Nick, and I am a rising junior from the warm and sunny cradle-of-mankind: South Africa. Although I was borne-and-bred in South Africa, I am also half German, which makes my accent a little weird. I am a philosophy concentrator with a particular love for East Asia. I am a bit of a health-freak and love working out when I have the free time. I adore watching good football (the real one), rugby, cricket, but I also love having a good chat with people. A lot of people think I am a huge metal-head or emo--the piercings have that effect. But, I promise I am really fun-loving and chill. I am really jacked to meet and get to know all of you throughout the upcoming year! Awe Awe!
Robert Krabek
robertkrabek@college.harvard.edu
Hey! My name is Robert, I'm a half-American, half-Hong Kong rising sophomore in Pfoho who grew up in Beijing, that city in China, but spent a year in Montreal learning French (but mainly partying) before coming to Harvard. I plan on concentrating in Neurobiology with a secondary field in Economics, but we'll see how competing with those Harvard pre-meds goes. Outside of academics I like to play basketball, bass guitar and generally mess around with friends. I'm on the ballroom dance team and I help run raging Woodbridge parties so I look forward to meeting and partying with the new crop of internationals this year because, you know, we’re just cooler than the locals. Get pumped!

Emily Malkin
emilymalkin@college.harvard.edu
Emily is technically an American citizen but was born and raised in London, England her whole life. She is a rising sophomore and will be in Eliot house next year, having spent her freshman year in Hurlbut. Emily is going to concentrate in OEB- as her main interest is environmental biology- but her passion outside of academics is music. She sings in the University Choir, is on the board for HEMS, and has been kept busy with group and solo work for her entire school career. She also loves Indian cuisine and Tibetan incense.
Katherine Medler
kmedler@fas.harvard.edu
Katherine is a senior in Eliot House and travels over 8000km east to Cambridge from her hometown. If you can guess where it is—she’ll buy you a cookie! In addition to thinking she is hilarious, Kat hates the cold, loves backpacking and traveling, and is rather apathetic towards most sports. Ideally, each night would be spent with a glass of wine over a long dinner discussion with good friends. Sadly, most of them are spent catching up on readings and writing unnecessarily long research papers. The nice thing about studying regime change and revolution in Latin America (Government and Social Anthropology concentrator) is that many of her stories involve questionable and semi-legal activities avoiding Central American authorities, which are both entertaining and quite absurd. And unbelievably, Harvard pays for most of these shenanigans! It really is a place of incredible people and opportunities, but sometimes it just takes a while to realize that. FIP 2011 is the perfect place to start meeting people, talking with old people (like Kat) about the glory days, and adjusting to life in Cambridge!

Nzuekoh Nchinda
nzuekohnchinda14@college.harvard.edu
My name is Nzuekoh Nchinda, and I’m a rising sophomore in Kirkland House, the absolute best house on campus (don’t believe those who tell you otherwise). I am incredibly excited to be a FIP leader this year and get to know every one you! I’m a pseudo-international. I was born in Cameroon (home of the original and real version of the song “Waka Waka”), but I’ve lived most of my life in the United States. Both my native culture and American influences are important to me, so I see myself as more of a global citizen. I love experiencing new things, meeting new people, trying to speak Spanish and Portuguese without mixing the two, and just spending quality time with people. I can’t live without music or chocolate. And I’m dedicated to make my premed life enjoyable (yes, it is possible).
I can’t wait to welcome all of you to the exciting, vibrant, diverse, and international community that is Harvard. I hope you come to see this place as your second home. I’m always open for chatting, so definitely feel free to send me a message to ask questions or just to share your excitement!

Nicole Paulet Piedra
npaulet@college.harvard.edu
Nicole Paulet Piedra is a rising junior in the GORGEOUS Leverett house (although she doesn't like it as much as her roommates Gamze, Moni and Nina). She grew up in Piura, Peru but spent the last two years before coming to college at the United World College in New Mexico (where she met her lovely Bostonian boyfriend). Nicole holds several leadership positions on campus - UWC Club President, Peruvian Association President and HOLA Vice-President (Harvard Organization of Latin America). Especially because of her involvement in the latter and in Hacia, a Model UN conference in Latin America, her accent has become increasingly Latin over the last two years. Maybe this is the reason why her roommates start learning Spanish in order to still be able to communicate with her. Nicole is one of the most-caring and warmest students on campus and can't wait to meet all of you (not only the Latins)!! But beware, if you ever meet her, make sure you are not wearing too many clothes, as this girl is ON FIRE!!!!
Jason Phillips
jasonphillips@college.harvard.edu
Jason is a rising junior living in Cabot House whos is from London, UK. Yay. He is concentrating in Economics and is also on the heavyweight crew team. He is extremely tall, hilarious and approachable. Please email him about any concerns or just general wonderments about Harvard. He is very excited to meet all of you FIPpers.
Benjamin Raderstorf
raderstorf@college.harvard.edu
Ben is a rising sophomore in Winthrop House (Lions for the win!). Despite begrudgingly being an American, Ben is the textbook definition of a “want-to-be” international student. This likely results from his family’s odd habit of packing up and leaving the country on short notice, a tradition he has continued by spending most of his time secretly plotting some sort of harebrained adventure overseas. Likely concentrating in Social Studies, an active member of International Relations on Campus, and a part-time resident of the Institute of Politics, Ben strangely considers international affairs and politics to be “fun,” and is more than happy to talk your ear off about all sorts of mundane policy debates. Originally hailing from Colorado—the best, most beautiful, and most mountainous state, the only one in the US you really need to know—Ben is a bicycle nut and avid Nordic skier who cherishes every opportunity to be outside. He is dangerously obsessed with caffeine (yerba maté tea is his latest fix), The Economist, and Neil Young among many other things. Even with his massive inferiority complex surrounding his nationality, Ben is overwhelmingly excited for FIP 2011, welcomes questions at any time, and is looking forward to meeting you all!!!
Friederike Reuter
freuter@college.harvard.edu
Fritzi is a rising sophomore who wishes freshmen year would never end. She grew up in southern Germany (Stuttgart), which is fortunately close to the Alps and therefore allowed her to become a passionate skier. When she was 15 years old, she felt the urge to explore the world and meet new people. Packing her 14 golf clubs (she likes to hit the little white ball, because she got to travel to beautiful places in Europe with the German national team), she decided to leave her family and friends to spend an exchange year living in an American host family in sunny San Diego. She absolutely fell in love with the country (or maybe rather with California as she started to realize during the never ending Northeast winter) and after finishing high school she crossed the Atlantic once again. At Harvard, she was soon drawn into the lovely Woodbridge community and rediscovered her interest in photography. When she gets some time off from playing with the Harvard golf team, you can often times find her wasting time with awkward nerds Dany and Oliver. She has had some difficulty deciding on a concentration between Harvard’s many and great choices, but will probably chose between economics and government. She can’t wait to start the new school year off with FIP and welcome the Class of 2015 to a campus that surprises you everyday anew with its incredible people.
Gamze Seten
cgseten@college.harvard.edu
Hi everyone, this is Gamze, coming all the way from beautiful Istanbul, Turkey. She's Woodbridge International Society's SEXY social chair and will ensure that you have a great time (from teas to parties!). On the dance floor, you’ll see her rock it out when she’s not DJ-ing some HOT music. Also, if you have any input on activities or social events you want to have at FIP or even after - feel free to contact her! She is a talented artist who can act, sing, and take gorgeous photos! Neuropsychology’s her concentration and because she’s infatuated with French and Spanish she's also thinking of a getting a citation in these languages. Gamze's really kind, sweet and approachable so if you have any questions - about FIP, life, Harvard, boy/girl problems, etc. - don't hesitate to go talk to her and if you’re lucky you might even get some Turkish delights, yum! Lastly, SHE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU ALL ON CAMPUS!

Shambhavi Singh
singh3@fas.harvard.edu
Shambhavi is a rising senior from New Delhi, India. Though she has moved between a lot of places in India she decidedly calls Delhi her home. Home at Harvard is the amazing Pforzheimer House, yep the BEST housing :) Shambhavi took several classes in varying subjects in freshman year, only to realize that she has no clue of what her concentration is going to be (freshman, do not fear confusion!) Finally, Shambhavi's love for Chemistry won out and is now her declared concentration. Apart from Woodbridge, Shambhavi is involved in the International Relations Council, the Institute of Politics and Ghungroo. She has been commended for her stalking abilities, so she might just find you on her own, but e-mail her whenever you want to! Shambhavi plans on enjoying a summer right here in Cambridge, so do not hesitate to write with questions, jokes or random thoughts, specially about Shahrukh Khan (you'll find out who he is). She looks forward to meeting all of you!!
Erfan Soliman
esoliman@fas.harvard.edu
Erfan is a rising senior in Kirkland House and is really excited about being a FIP leader for the third time! Somehow, Erfan manages to confuse people whenever they ask him where he’s from. Although he secretly likes the attention he gets, it’s really not that complicated. He calls three places home: Iran, which is the country of his birth, Canada, where he spent his wonderful and cherished childhood, and Qatar, where he lived for the last 6 years before coming to Harvard. He enjoys playing most sports, especially volleyball, football, and ping pong. He’s also a big fan of “that’s what she said” jokes, dancing, camel riding, whistling the Mario theme song, and meeting new FIPers! At Harvard, he’s involved in the International Relations Council, Model UN, and two international development groups working in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. He’s really excited about meeting all of you, so please email him if you are curious about anything, or if you are just plain awesome. And since he’s sure that all of you satisfy the second criterion, he’s expecting a lot of emails!

Paul Stavropoulos
stavrop@college.harvard.edu
Hello, and welcome Class of 2015! I am Paul Stavropoulos and a junior this year concentrating in economics with a secondary in computer science. I am a Greek-American from the San Francisco Bay Area, more specifically from Campbell, CA. Nonetheless, I like to think that I am an honorary international. I live in the best house of them all: Leverett. Hopefully you too will one day be a Leverite. am very excited that all of you decided to withstand the East Coast weather and join the Harvard community; these will be some of the greatest years of your life. The opportunities here cannot be found anywhere else in the world. As for me, I enjoy hanging out and meeting people, playing sports (especially soccer and basketball), and I love music. That’s why I can’t wait to meet you all during FIP, guys!!

Aleksandar Stefanovski
astefan@fas.harvard.edu
Hi everyone! My name is Aleks and I'm a rising senior hailing from the little-big country of Macedonia! At Harvard, I've found the warmth of home away from home in the beautiful and remote Pforzheimer House; you'll get a chance to party in my awesome duplex suite as early as September! I'm concentrating in Social Studies, an interdisciplinary program whose title reminds many Americans of their favorite course in 3rd grade. Contrary to popular belief, I did not become President of the Woodbridge International Society in order to conduct social experiments on our lovely FIPpers. One of the few representatives of my small country in this part of the world, I have always felt that Woodbridge is my big happy family, and I'm proud to contribute to the fostering of a welcoming community spirit for generations to come. My true Woodbridge love, however, will always be the amazing Outreach Committee, which has historically provided Woodbridgers with the opportunity to meet Harvard faculty members and munch on sushi, samosas, and all sorts of internationally-inspired delicious goodies. When I'm not dazed and confused in the Harvard bubble, I'm likely to be found in one of the many Cambridge coffeehouses, with a book in the one hand and a coffee cup in the other. If you like hanging out in coffee shops, you've just made a new friend! I look forward to meeting you all at this year's FIP! If you have any questions or concerns about packing your life in a suitcase or two in the upcoming months, do not hesitate to send me an e-mail or friend me on Facebook. And save the date: Sunday, August 21!

Jessica Stein
jessica.stein@college.harvard.edu
A-yo! I'm a rising Junior in the one and only Kirkland House, and though I dabbled with History and Literature for some time I'm concentrating in Social Studies with a Secondary Field in French and Bananagrams. I'm a hybrid Brit-American Londoner, though I no longer drink tea thanks to an incident with my roommate's laptop last fall, and in fact I'm moving to Amsterdam next year thus reaching my full potential as eurotrash (I'm a recovering gap-year tragedy). I split my time between the IOP and the Crimson, with the occasional stint in Annenberg where I professionally decode American milk proportions (as once said by a man far wiser than me: "American milks sound like members of an underage hip-hop act; except for Heavy Cream, which I still believe is some kind of radioactive lactose isotope.") Sometimes I find the time to spoon other internationals (see photo).
If you've seen the movie "Kissing Jessica Stein," she's no relation, and if you haven't - don't.

Avia Tadmor
avia_tadmor@college.harvard.edu
Avia is a rising sophomore coming all the way from Israel, where she does not ride camels or sleep in tents (as some have suspected), however she does spend unreasonable amounts of time on the beautiful beaches of Tel-Aviv. Here at Harvard, when she does not miss the Middle-Eastern sun, Avia enjoys working with the Phillips Brooks House Association, a student-run, community-based, non-profit public service organization. She challenged herself to try a new type of dance each semester and so far attempted at break dancing with the Harvard Breakers and at seductive Indian dance. Avia graduated the United World College of the American West in 2006 and since then she served in the Israeli Intelligence Corpse, studies acting, worked too many jobs and travelled in Laos and Vietnam. She plans to concentrate in Psychology and to master Spanish so one day she could read Gabriel García Marquez as he should be read.

Moni Anne Trac
moni.a.trac@college.harvard.edu
Moni Anne Trac is a rising junior in Leverett House (which you soon will find out is the best House on campus)! Moni is French-Cambodian, but she studied in Australia (you can tell by her beautiful accent). She is concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Visual and Environmental Studies, but she is not only an incredible visual artist, she also plays the piano and sings wonderfully. During her time at Harvard, Moni has danced with the Asian American Dance Troup and the Breakers. There is too much talent in her! Moni is also part of Delta Gamma, one of the three sororities on campus, and she works with the Business Board of the Crimson, Harvard’s daily newspaper. Moni is probably one of the sweetest, most caring girls you will meet. She is fun, creative and simply a very lovable person.

Alexander Wells
alexander.wells@college.harvard.edu
My name is Alex Wells, and I am from Sydney, Australia. My hobbies include soccer, drumming and answering the stupid questions thrown my way by Americans. (The best so far, on the topic of music: “Wait, so do you have, like, bands in Australia?”). I am currently writing with the Crimson and studying a mixture of economics and humanities, although I plan to concentrate in Mario Kart. Pre-frosh weekend was my first time in the United States, but I’m feeling more and more at home here and I plan to marry my way into a green card at the nearest opportunity. I can even sing the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner.

Oliver Wenner
wenner@college.harvard.edu
Welcome to Harvard! My name is Oliver and I feel awkward writing this bio. I am a citizen of the Kingdom of Sweden and as a rising sophomore I will definitely be concentrating in philosophy. However, choosing a secondary area of study is much harder, I am deciding between history, literature or psychology. I rowed crew freshman fall, together with another FIP leader, Dany Jradi. Our boat was so bad that after a while, the coach just stopped e-mailing us (Dany’s fault. Not mine. I’m cool. I promise). When I am in Sweden and speak my native language, I am actually quite fun. However, the general failure of Americans to understand sarcasm makes me feel misunderstood and boring. Hence, I hang out a lot with internationals and therefore I am also looking forward to meeting the next generation of internationals. I can, with serious manipulation, look similar to Edward Cullen (omg). And whatever Dany says, he cannot pull off the “Jacob Black” look. I will soon pick up writing for the Harvard Political Review and the Harvard International Review and I am at this VERY moment working on my application to direct for Harvard National Model UN. Conclusively, Harvard is very strict with plagiarism, which you soon enough will find out. If you feel the need to quote anything from my bio, please refer to my complete autobiography “Oliver - the LOLicopter,” p. 567 - 614.

Michael is a rising sophomore in Mather House (which is almost as beautiful as his home state of New Jersey). He calls the U.S. home but has also spent several summers living abroad in Spain. Besides being ridiculously good-looking, Michael spends his time eating Noch’s pizza, watching college basketball, working on problem sets, avoiding the sun, and having a good time with his friends. He is considering concentrating in Applied Math with a focus in Leisure Studies but also enjoys Economics and Finance. He is a member of Veritas Financial Group as well as Harvard Frisbee. Curiously, the Harvard Police often question him, just because they find him interesting. He is very excited to be a part of FIP 2011 and cannot wait to meet the international members of the class of 2015!
