I. Welcome, Prefrosh! - The Class of 2009 looks like it might become HRC's best ever! Over 100 prefrosh joined the club on Saturday after we beat the Dems in the debate on The Bush Doctrine. To all the prefrosh reading this - we're looking forward to seeing you again in the fall, and we will be in touch!

II. General Meeting - Wednesday! - Our next and most likely last board meeting of the semester will be this Wednesday at 10 PM in the Winthrop Tonkens Room. Come discuss the summer and plan for the next semester! Refreshments will be provided as always.

III. Spring BBQ, Next Monday! - Kick off your reading period next Monday, May 9th with an HRC barbeque at 5 on the Science Center lawn. We'll have hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as veggie burgers. If you're planning on coming, please RSVP with your ID number to Meghan (mgrizzle@fas).

IV. Dinesh D'Souza at BU - Today! - Dinesh D'Souza will be speaking at BU at the George Sherman Union at 775 Commonwealth Avenue tonight at 8 PM. Questions, call Anthony Garofalo at (516) 220-7147.

V. HRC Weekly subscription nears 1,250 - The HRC Weekly took another major step toward becoming the most-read email list on campus this weekend, when our subscription base skyrocketed to 1,250. Welcome to all our new members!
 
VI. Intern with Governor Romney's Campaign! - The Romney for Governor campaign is heating up, and they're looking for a Harvard Republican intern to work in the finance office! The internship can be full or part time and will include the ability to attend events including one with Sen. Elizabeth Dole in June. VII. HPU Wednesday - "The Mommy State" - By Invitation Only - HPU's topic of the week is "The Mommy State" - Can and should the state take a paternalistic approach to governance? This annual topic is in honor of Mother's Day. This week only, the dinner is on Wednesday at 6 and is by invitation only. Email Vivek (ramasw@fas) if you want an invitation.
