I. HRC Movie Night - Take a break from studying next weekend with your fellow HRC members! We will be watching episodes from the first 7 seasons of South Park. Exact time and place TBA, but snacks will be provided!
II. Summer Plans - Got great summer plans? The HRC is collecting information for a database of your summer activities so that you can see what everyone is up to and if anyone else will be in your area. Please visit http://www.harvardgop.org/summer_plans.html and fill out the short questionnaire.
III. Mother's Day Cards - In honor of Mother's Day this Sunday, May 14, Harvard Right to Life is selling Mother's Day cards to benefit A Woman's Concern, a local crisis pregnancy center. Cards cost $3 each, and all proceeds go to A Woman's Concern. Contact Meghan at mgrizzle@fas to purchase cards or with questions.
IV. Join the Conservative Book Club! - The Conservative Book Club is currently reading Manliness by Harvard's own Harvey Mansfield. It's not too late to join! We are also in the process of planning a catered dinner discussion with Professor Mansfield himself. E-mail Ryan (rmccaffr@fas) to join, and purchase your copy of Manliness from Ryan or on the Book Club's website: http://hcs.harvard.edu/~gop/cons_book_club.html.
V. Habitat Bike Challenge - HRC board member Matt Schrimpf will be representing Harvard and the HRC this summer in the Habitat Bike Challenge, riding 4,000 miles across the country to raise money and awareness for Habitat for Humanity. His goal is to raise a dollar for each mile of the ride. All donations will help to eliminate poverty housing and are greatly appreciated! E-mail Matt at schrimpf@fas.harvard.edu for more information, or donate online at http://www.yale.edu/habitat/donate.html.
VI. Job Opportunities in Senator Hagel's Office - Throughout the next few months, the Washington, DC Office of Nebraska Senator Chuck Hagel will be hiring. The office is looking to fill two entry level positions perfect for recent graduates.
