The GSC provides funding for recognized GSAS student organizations and for special events organized and attended by GSAS student groups. For information about forming an official GSAS student organization, contact the Dudley House Office on the third floor of Lehman Hall at 495-2255. Prospective student organizations must be approved by the Committee on Graduate Education in order to be officially recognized.

List of Recognized GSAS Student Organizations

Official GSAS organizations are eligible for free group computer accounts from the Harvard Computer Society, providing a group e-mail address and the ability to have group web pages and mailing lists. For more information, contact HCS Account Services at.
   


In order to be eligible for funding, student organizations are responsible for designating a representative who must attend at least half of all open meetings during a given semester. Eligibility is assessed on the basis of meeting attendance during the preceding semester. The Student Groups Attendance Sheet can be consulted by going to this webpage .

The GSC considers group funding requests three times each academic year. For the 2008-09 academic year, the deadlines to submit funding request applications are:

November Student Group Funding: October 23 2009
March Student Group Funding: February 5 2010
April Student Group Funding: March 26 2010

All applications are due at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. In addition to submitting a complete application, at least one student representative from each group must attend the GSC meeting when funding decisions are announced.
