STEP IT UP 2

For the upcoming Step It Up 2 initiative, planned for mid-September, HCGHAC is working with the Harvard chapter of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) on its recent campaign to change university policy so that medicines formulated by Harvard’s research will be made accessible to the developing world. 

In the works: a speaker event and petition campaign centered on medicine accessibility in developing countries AND a fundraiser dance to raise money for a HIV/AIDS clinic in Washington D.C.

What was Step It Up (the original)? HCGHAC organized a HIV/AIDS awareness campaign that took place in September 2007 and involved a speaker event with Dr. Paul Farmer, a call-in campaign, and a charity fundraiser for the NGO Partners in Health (raising $7,000).
