HCAA Volunteer Trip: ___ Tanzania, June '08
This past June HCAA led a group of undergraduates on the volunteering expedition of a lifetime.
The group traveled to Tanzania in East Africa to volunteer with HCAA-sponsored educational initiatives including vocational training centers, arts programs, and local entrepreneurial endeavors. HCAA also visited the Ngorongoro Crater and stayed in the Masaai bomas (villages) of Enguruka and Gelai near Mount Kilimanjaro. The group took video interviews with Tanzanians all along the way--HCAA has learned so much from this warm nation!
The journey also served as a fundraiser for HCAA which ultimately garnered over $10,000! All proceeds went directly to our sponsored programs for education in Africa.
