First meeting–Windows 7, Halo 3, and more
Thanks to all who attended the first meeting. We resolved to have a Halo 3 tournament in early October, and we are considering a Windows 7 launch party (as a collaboration with HCS).
The dev group is definitely happening, and we’ll be making a game using XNA. Stay tuned for more updates!
More details are in the minutes from the meeting (pdf format): hcimg091909

NOTE: HCIMG is open to all students, and only those interested in an officer position are expected to apply.
Game Dev Internships
Getting an internship in the game industry can be tough, but it’s a really great way to meet contacts, learn how to work in a professional environment, and potentially line up work for after graduation.
This summer, I helped program the PSN version of Star Trek DAC. It should be coming out in a week or so, and it’s great so download it when it comes out! Support Harvard interns!
We’ve had members work at Microsoft, id, 7 Studios, and Naked Sky over the past few years. Swing by our table at the activities fair on Wednesday (4-7 p.m. outside the SOCH) or come to our meeting on Monday, Sept. 7 (3 p.m. inside the SOCH) for more info.
