Writing Sample

This sample can be anything you have written in the past couple of years that you believe shows
your writing at its best. Some examples might include a piece you wrote for a publication, an
excerpt from a paper for a class, or a personal piece that you wrote in your free time. As this
is an application to a college publication, we prefer more analytical samples. However, if you
are proudest of writing that is not extremely analytical, then by all means, allow us to read that.
Do not stress about what type of writing you choose to submit and definitely do not take the time
to write something new. We only ask you show us what you consider your best and that it be no
longer than 2 double-spaced pages of size 12 text.
