Board of Strategy
The Vice-President of Strategy is responsible for chairing the Board of Strategy and coordinating corporate development activities among the HIRC programs.
The Board of Strategy (BoS) functions as the IRC's in-house consultancy, researching and providing recommendations on long-term strategic issues facing the organization. Strategy projects range from uses of the endowment and electoral reform to alumni strategy and the creation of new IRC programs. Members of the BoS assist the Board of Directors in key decisions through in-depth research and analysis, working in pairs and gathering information through interviews, internet research, and by reaching out to businesses and other student organizations. Being on the BoS is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how the IRC really functions and the ways it can be improved, working closely with Program Heads, Corporate Officers, and the Board of Directors. Elections for the following year’s Board of Strategy are held at the end of each academic year, and freshmen are encouraged to apply.
