Harvard-Radcliffe ChorusFounded in 1979, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus (HRC) comprises approximately 180 student, faculty, staff, and community singers and performs two concerts of major choral-orchestral works each season in Sanders Theatre at Harvard University. The repertory of the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus encompasses music from the eighteenth century to the present. This winter, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus will perform the Christmas portion (Part I) of George Frideric Handel’s enduring masterwork, Messiah (HWV 56). In the spring, the Chorus will present Gabriel Fauré’s sublimely beautiful Requiem (Op. 48), in the version scored for symphony orchestra, as well as Felix Mendelssohn’s passionate setting of Psalm 42, Wie der Hirsch schreit nach frischem Wasser (Op. 42). Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 10 pm in Lowell Lecture Hall at Harvard University and begin in late September. Now celebrating its 30th anniversary season, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus and its conductor, Dr. Kevin Leong, welcome you to another exciting year of fine music-making. 2009–201030th Anniversary Season
