Kill stories

Dearly Departed: Thomas Lotze
Angel of Death: Jon Miller
Ghostly Witness: David Alpert
Reported: Wed, 17 Mar 1999 18:28:10

"Lotze is here," says Lori.

"So is Alpert," I say. She nods.

I know where Dave is so I hurry over to his table.

"Lotze is here," I tell him. He says he knows, but tells me he doesn't have his gun and besides, he's dead.

"Hey, we're in Quincy; I can just run up and get my gun," I reply, and do so. When I return amply armed, we formulate a plan.

"I need more milk," says Dave. We split up and meet at the milk dispenser, so we can approach Tom from the back. We walk up to his table, behind him. I keep my gun below his back so his companions can't see it.

"I was thinking...," Dave says to Tom, and I plug him in the back. He turns around at the sound and feel, sees me.

All he can do is nod.

RIP, Commissioner Thomas Lotze

Problem: Mike Epstein
Solution: Matt Withers
Cheat Sheet: Ashley Eden
Reported: Tue, 16 Mar 1999 16:59:22

The grave is no bar to my call.

At 4:30 this afternoon, Ashley Eden and I ventured forth from the Science Center to the once-thought impregnable fortress of the HCS office. As one of the enemy, I found the entrance barred against me. However, my accomplice slipped in, and ascertained that one Mike Epstein was indeed inside. Coyly, she made conversation with our target, hinting that she would be returning to the Science Center alone shortly.

Our victim took the bait.

When Ashley left the building, we took position on the steps that lead to Thayer Basement. We knew it would only be a matter of time before his lust for blood drew him forth. In short order, the great door opened, and, unwittingly walking into our devious trap, the Judge stepped out. I fired, Ashley witnessed, Mike died.

My revenge for the blood spilled at the start of this war has been achieved.

Almost.

Trusted Roommate: Matt Withers
Trusted Blockmate: Shai Sachs
Fool: Thomas Lotze
Reported: Mon, 15 Mar 1999 18:28:31

I had finished dinner in Leverett Dining Hall and was on my way out when I saw, to my surprise, my elusive roommate, Thomas Lotze on the serving line. My shock was made greater when I noted with glee that my erstwhile victim Shai Sachs stood next to the Judge on the line. As stealthily as a small rodent taking special care not to disturb a hungry, light-sleeping dragon I crept up behind Tom and tapped Shai on the shoulder. As Mr. Sachs turned to look at me, I drew forth my weapon and planted a bullet in the center of my victim's back.

Judge, Jury, and Executioner: Ashley Eden
Judged guilty: Tom Lotze
Ghostly witness for the prosecution: Igor Teper
Reported: Sun, 14 Mar 1999 20:30:28

So there Ashley and I were, waiting to get in to see the IGP Comedy Festival last night, when who should we see in Agassiz lobby but Tom Lotze. Realizing I didn't have my gun, I was about to curse the gods when Ashley indicated that she had hers. We approached Tom, he saw us, we greeted him, he wisely backed away and interposed a friend between himself and us. We circled for several tense minutes, maneuvering Tom toward a corner of the lobby, but then he pulled out his gun and shot me. No big loss -- like I said, I was unarmed, and a ghost can still witness.

The standoff continued. We managed to get Tom to back away from the crowd of people and towards an unpopulated corner of the lobby. Using her coat to conceal her gun from everyone but myself, Ashley shot Tom just as I saw a flash of yellow over Tom's friend's shoulder. It was Tom's gun. And thus ended the first life of Tom Lotze, a Most High and Revered Commissioner of the Game.
