After a bit of a dormant period (2.3 years isn't thaat long, right?), our website has finally received some attention! We're still working to update all the information/links and smooth out all the crinkles, so thanks for bearing with us while we get our site ready for the new academic year. Speaking of which, we're terribly excited about this one (Is Jim going to propose to Pam or what! Just kidding...). HSMBB hosted a lunch discussion with Professor of Psychology Marc Hauser, who discussed his research on morality and language. Hauser offers the popular Core class, Science B-29: Evolution of Human Nature (affectionately known as "Sex") and also directs the Cognitive Evolution Laboratory. WJH 1305, 12-1pm.

HSMBB hosted a dinner lecture by Professor of Psychology Steven Pinker, who discussed language as a window into human nature, the subject of his upcoming book. Leverett JCR, 6-8pm.

HSMBB hosted a lunch discussion with Professor of Psychology Martha McClintock, who was the featured speaker for this year's MBB Distinguished Lecture Series. McClintock's research focuses on pheromones and hormones, and she is the author of a famous and controversial 1971 paper on human menstrual synchrony. MBB Conference Room, 12-1pm.

Science Behind the Movie Night! HSMBB watched the movie Awakenings with Professor of Neuroscience John Dowling. Based on a book by Oliver Sachs, the movie tells the story of a doctor's struggle to cure victims of encephalitis. Dowling taught the popular course BS80 until last year. Leverett G-Spot, 6-9pm.
