Auditions for the Band are very informal. They are an opportunity for our directors - Tom and Mark - to get to know you, and to match you up with the perfect part for your ability. You will need to play a major scale, and sight-read one of our fight songs - nothing to be afraid of, so don't worry if you haven't oiled those valves for a while!

Just come in a bit before your audition time to warm up and fill out a brief information form. We'll send you in to our directors or our student conductor, and your audition itself should take 5-10 minutes. Following the audition you will have an opportunity to meet Band members and get more information about the organization. In all, the audition should take approximately 30 minutes.

Fall auditions will begin on Saturday, August 29th, and continue until Saturday, September 5th, with a final opportunity to audition on Thursday, September 10th. If you would like to join the Band, please email Alex at aahmed@fas.harvard.edu to sign up for a half-hour audition. Available time slots are below, and a signup form will be online later this summer.

Monday, August 31st: 10 am - noon, 3 pm - 5 pm

Tuesday, September 1st: Noon - 2 pm

Friday, September 4th: 3 pm - 6 pm

Saturday, September 5th: 1 pm - 4 pm

Sunday, September 6th: 1 pm - 3 pm (Jazz and Wind Ensemble Only)

Sunday, September 6th: 3 pm - 4:30 pm (Jazz Rhythm Section Only)

Thursday, September 10th: 7 pm - 9 pm
