The Friends of Harvard University Cycling Association (FoHUCA) was established to strengthen Harvard Cycling, to create a community for alumni and friends of Harvard Cycling, and to host events that help build that community. Our group has now grown to more than 75 active members from around the US and the world. If you’re an alum or just a cycling enthusiast, we would like to invite you to join our ranks.
During this 2006-2007 season, FoHUCA will undertake a number of major activities in support of Harvard Cycling. This year’s Homecoming at the Harvard -2- Harvard Weekend in Cambridge (October, 2006) will be a very special event as we welcome home Alumni and celebrate fall in New England. In one of the group’s most important undertakings to date, we will continue the campaign to establish a HUCA endowment with the university that will help provide for the team while making it less fiscally dependent on alumni and sponsor donations.
As always, FoHUCA depends on its members to sustain and grow the group. Charitable donations to support the team are always welcome, but we also want you to get involved. Even if you cannot attend the events in Cambridge, we’d love help you organize FoHUCA events in your area! Join us in our efforts to make an impact with Harvard Cycling.
