Welcome to the Transfiguration final. Using transfiguration, follow the indicated steps to arrive at an answer. You have three hours. Show your work to receive partial credit.
1. Show that you know your ABCs. Any As, Bs, or Cs should become ABC.
2.
Take all voiced stops (B, D, G) and make them unvoiced.
3. We like the letter
I. Move all occurrences forward one letter.
4. If there are two consecutive
letters four letters apart, replace them with the intervening four letters
(in order).
5. Rare letters are not useful for our purposes. Replace JKQXZ
with E.
6. If you have three vowels in a row, they should be replaced with
RST.
7. Don't fall into any traps! If you see any, take them out.
8. The
letter C should always be followed by M. Fix this now.
9. You should also be
on the lookout for other local schools. Get rid of any you see.
10. Change
all As to Es and Is to Os.
11. Make all Es silent and move them to the end of
the string.
12. CON and PRO are opposites. Switch them.
13. If there is a
letter in your string that's repeated, replace the repeats with the next letter
in the alphabet.
14. Now we want to get rid of sequences of the form abab.
Replace ba with NA.
15. We want a medical string. Append DR to it.
16.
Transfigure Ds into Os, Gs into Cs, and Ns into Fs.
17. If you see us, you
should turn us into US.
18. Demote all enlisted personnel one rank.
19.
Now remove the last copy of each letter that appears more than once.
20.
Starting at the end, switch each adjacent pair of letters.
21. Ack! No
watching television! Get rid of it.
22. Take what you have left and show it
to your instructor for grading.
