Welcome to the Harvard Organ Society!

The Harvard Organ Society welcomes all those who love the organ and its music. Members include Harvard undergarduates and graduate students, along with others in the greater Harvard community. Many members actively study the organ at Harvard on the instruments of Memorial Church (2011 Fisk and 1930 Skinner). The Organ Society regularly organizes visits to organs throughout the Boston area and New England, and holds a weekly organ class for its students. This past year, its members also participated in masterclasses with world-famous concert organists such as Olivier Latry, Madame Marie-Louis Langlais, and Nathan Laube. Other highlights of the year included venturing to Gloucester, MA to visit the Fisk shop where Memorial Church’s newest organ was constructed and a two-week study trip to Montreal, Paris, and Amsterdam.

The Organ Society hosts a weekly lunchtime recital series on Thursdays at 12:15 pm in Adolphus Busch Hall and a biweekly concert series in Memorial Church on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm during the university’s semester, and its students can be heard often as part of these series.
