Progressive Seder 2007

Tuesday, April 3
7:55 PM
Dunster JCR

We have a great seder (with great food!) planned, so we hope you can make it! Since this is a Progressive seder, one of the things we're going to be discussing a lot during the course of the meal is social justice. So if you have time, feel free to find a favorite quote from a person committed to freedom, peace, and/or social justice. We're looking forward to having people share their thoughts and ideas.

Two civil rights lawyers working for minorities in Israel spoke to Harvard’s Progressive Jewish Alliance at Hillel yesterday about the plight of the Bedouin minority in Israel.

Human and Civil Rights in Israel

Tuesday March 13, 7:45 PM, Rabb Hall at Hillel

Come and join the Progressive Jewish Alliance as we hear from two speakers from the New Israel Fund. PJA is bringing Morad El-Sana and Gil Gan-Mor to Hillel to discuss human and civil rights issues in Israel. They will speak on Palestinian civil rights, Bedouin rights, LGBT rights, and education within Israel. The New Israel Fund advances civil rights and social justice for all Israelis, and it is widely credited with transforming the social justice and human rights communities in Israel. All are welcome.

Queens' Banquet

The Purim Persian-inspired feast celebrating all the queens was a great success! The dining hall looked beautiful, as did the pipe-cleaner crowns. Thank you to Jackie, Elisha, and Alissa for planning it.
