Applications for Fall 2016 mentor positions have closed, but remember to check back in January for our Spring 2017 application. We would love for you to join our club!
Science Club for Girls, founded in 1994, provides free afterschool science clubs for students typically underrepresented in science, math, and engineering. K-12th grade girls work with mentor-scientists who model and foster leadership, affirm college as an expectation, and promote careers in science and technology as goals and options.
Harvard College Science Club for Girls works toward this mission through its empowerment of local K-12th grade girls and its potential Harvard science students.
Harvard SCFG meets every Friday afternoon from 2:30-4:45 at the Amigos School in Cambridge. Mentors work closely with girls, providing them with fun hands-on science and engineering activities. Our curriculum has been specifically created and adapted to meet girls’ development and interests. Mentors also attend weekly group dinners and other social events throughout the semester.
