“Not on our watch, not on our time!” The people of Massachusetts take action for a promise the world failed to keep: “Genocide: never again”
If you take a Philosophy class, one of the first lessons you are taught is that History repeats itself over and over again, simply because of our incapacity as people to learn from past mistakes. For the past 60 years, we have witnessed over 10 genocides - in Nazi Germany, Cambodia, but also Afghanistan, Tibet, Iraq and most recently, Bosnia and Rwanda. Although the world keeps being outraged and promises to never let it happen again, it quickly looses interest in it and watches more or less passively as new ones unfold.

GONZALES EMBARRASSED AT HARVARD REUNION
Cambridge, Mass. – Alberto Gonzales was confronted by student protesters and forced to leave through a back door on Saturday during a visit to Harvard Law School for his 25th reunion. After two weeks clinging to save his job and defending allegations that he fired eight U.S. Attorneys for political reasons, what might have been a relaxed day of reminiscing with old classmates became instead yet another reminder that both his job and his reputation are in serious jeopardy.

Hundreds March for CORI Reform
On Thursday, April 19th, hundreds of people marched from Roxbury Crossing to the state house, demanding passage of the Public Safety Act of 2007. The act seeks to end arbitrary discrimination against people with criminal records, shorten the length of time that records are open, and train employers on properly reading CORIs.

What It Means to be a Patriot on Patriots Day with Howard Zinn and Amy Goodman
On Patriots Day, in historic Fanuiel Hall in Boston, Howard Zinn and Amy Goodman addressed a packed house about government, media, war, and protest. It was also a fundraiser for Democracy Now, and a promotion event for Howard Zinn's new book "A Power Governments Cannot Supress."
