Student Labor Action Movement

We, the undersigned, are outraged at the evidence of widespread discrimination on our campus and the climate of fear that has prevented anyone from speaking up until now. Therefore, we demand:

• No layoffs/relocations of any Molecular and Chemical BioLab workers (English, Spanish-speaking, white or Latina/o).
• An independent investigation into racism and discrimination in the workplace.
• Accountability for responsible managers. Immediate apology and reparations from the Harvard Administration.
• No English-only policies at any Harvard workplace.
• Equal opportunity for hiring and promotion of Latina/o workers at Harvard.
• A code of conduct that includes a "respect clause," union input into hiring of managers, diversity training for new managers, and provisions against future discrimination.
• Stop the retaliation! No more arbitrary demotions.
