Tract Magazine is an intercollegiate, submission-driven forum aimed at promoting discourse between art and the natural sciences. By investigating the convergence of these disciplines, we hope to reinforce the position of scientific thought and method within the canon of cultural necessity. Tract will strive to gather and present a variety of images, essays, poetry, manifestos, and other articulations of interdisciplinary thinking. Ideally such work will counter the general tendency to preconceive science as detached from or even opposed to artistic pursuits. Tract aims to promote artistic sensitivity alongside scientific literacy, to showcase science as, like art, a compelling and vital human endeavor.
