Our Edit: Thanksgiving Dinner
Hopefully by now you are well on your way to a food coma somewhere far far away from Cambridge, Mass where the sun is currently setting on my self cooked Thanksgiving meal of day old fried rice and vending machine snacks. Dressing for the holidays should never be too serious an affair, and this year, Vestis members are stocking up on fun, one off pieces for their holiday engagements.
“Love these knit shorts! Paired with a chunky sweater, they’re perfect for lounging around the house.”–Lena Ye
“Though the family comes to my house for the holidays, this year I feel like getting dressed up to stay in. This simple shift dress in a sassy print lends endless options for accessorizing and will become my go-to holiday staple.”–Molly Ryan
“Since I basically live in jeans and flowy (belly hiding) tops during Thanksgiving break. I think I’d like to distract everyone this year from my overeating and drinking with a cheerful lip. This Stila Long Wear Lip Color is a great way to do it. Besides, why not brighten up everyone’s day with this pop of color?”–Racheal Epstein
“I am usually the last person you will see in a graphic tee, but this giant bear print tee is just too cuddly to pass up for cozying up by my bricked up dorm room fireplace, hot cider in hand.”–Thomas Dai
“I like the knit hats from Etsy user, Yokoo! They’re fun with a great sense of humor.”–Micere Johnson
“I love this rhinestone-encrusted sash from J.Crew–perfect for the more formal family dinners. It easily dresses up a boring sweater and helps stretch your long-weekend wardrobe.”– -Anna Remus
“Let’s be real. After eating my weight in food during the holidays, I’m all about the shoes and accessories i.e. things I’ll never outgrow. These festive glitter booties will instantly make any oversized sweater/leggings/anything elastic combo comfy and cute.”–Julia Hirata
“This pullover sweater is a cheeky statement for a family gathering. At first glance it’s your average chunky holiday sweater, but look again and you’ll notice a saucier side to the design”--Alexandra Rose
“This long, flowy coral skirt paired with a chunky sweater and hot chocolate makes for a great, versatile Thanksgiving look: pretty in pink but equally cozy and simple to put together.”–Emily Chen
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
