Menswear has really been riding the prints trend hard for 2012. What started as a smattering of zig zags on chunky knits last fall has burgeoned with the summer heat, with printed pieces sneaking their way even into the most reserved of wardrobes.
If there’s one thing to understand about wearing prints this season, it’s go big or go home. Wear a flamingo print pocket square in a floral blazer for a rakish touch or pair a hard rockin’ printed tee with Aztec shorts and a chevron belt. For those who just can’t bear to clash, incorporate prints into your everyday uniform by cherry picking some key pieces to wear with more restrained basics. Just make sure the prints are bold and the shapes simple. With surface treatments this intense, a minimalistic silhouette is key.
My print-happy eye has been crazy for skinny neckwear of the confetti variety and dorky chic short sleeve shirts in abstracted Hawaiian prints. Here are some of my other favorite printed articles for summer:

#2: Parrot print t-shirt by Zara
#3: Cartoon print short sleeve shirt by All Saints
#4: Flamingo print handkerchief by Drakes
#5: Confetti print tie by Band of Outsiders

#7: Printed short sleeve shirt by B Store
#8: Reversible jacket with geometric print lining by Orlebar Brown
#9: Floral print blazer by ASOS
#10: Painterly print pajama pants by John Galliano
