The Outreach Committee seeks to involve WLN members in serving the community with the belief that combining community service and leadership naturally strengthens both. The Committee plans and organizes an annual leadership conference at Harvard for middle-school girls, with a special emphasis on young women from underprivileged backgrounds. Conference activities include workshops offering a chance to learn and apply leadership skills, keynote speakers, and small group interactions. The aim of the conference is to involve WLN members as leaders in developing similar self confidence, skills, and aspirations in younger women.
