5, 6, 7, 8: The AADT Alumni Newsletter

Dearest AADT Alumni,

It‘s been a while in coming, but finally the 1st ever issue of the AADT Alumni Newsletter is here! We‘ve named the initiative 5,6,7,8 in fond memory of endless, stressful, often hilarious, and ultimately rewarding rehearsals.

What made AADT such an involving experience at college was being part of a community knitted together by camaraderie, hard work, passion for dance and fun. With 5,6,7,8, we‘re taking a first official step towards extending the AADT community beyond college walls.

We will update you three times a year with AADT on-campus, alumni, and community news as well as provide useful dance information.

INITIATIVES

  • Mai-king Chan ‘ 06, Emily Niu ‘ 06, and Schonmei Wu ‘ 06 tell us all about dance production post AADT.
  • Participate in community initiatives. Watch this space for news on the AADT mentorship program and alumni dance collaboration initiatives.

  • Kim Harano ‘ 05 gives us the low-down on Bollywood grooves in NY
  • We give some tips for getting started on dance classes in NYC, London, and Paris

We want to stress that this is YOUR newsletter so we welcome all input from you whether it be suggestions on content and structure or sending us information/updates/tips.

5,6,7,8 is only the tip of the iceberg. Ideas to further enrich the alumni community include AADT happy hour in NYC, group trips to watch Eastbound, networking events, alumni-aadt performances and workshops, merchandise, etc.

On that note, mark your calendars! Eastbound 2008 will be Friday, March 14th in Lowell Lecture Hall.
