Adams House Facilities

Welcome to Adams House! This page is meant to be your guide for everything from heating to room reservations to storage.

Superintendent's Office

Jorge Teixeira is the superintendent of Adams House, including Randolph, Westmorly, Claverly, and Apthorp; his office is located on the ground floor around the corner from the mailboxes in C entry. His telephone number is 5-2258. If you have any problems with desks, beds, bureaus, plumbing, electricity, or if you need keys to rooms or cleaning equipment, you should inquire at C-2 or email jteixeir@fas. The members of the custodial staff are: Michel Montimer, Crew Chief; Wilson Sinclair, Jose Portillo, and Jose Cruz. Our SSI guard Bernard Mwangi covers the Office during the evenings. There is also coverage by students on Saturdays and Sundays. House Offices

The House Offices are located on the second floor of C Entry. The House Administrator, Sophia Chaknis (C-17, 5-2259, schaknis@fas) makes appointments with the Master and schedules the activities of the House. If you wish to reserve any of the common rooms, please see her. Sophia is also in charge of Housing and the infamous lottery. Dr. Judy Palfrey holds regular office hours on Wednesday afternoons. The Resident Dean's assistant, Otto Coontz (C-18, 5-2260, ofcoontz@fas), answers questions of an academic nature and makes appointments with the Resident Dean, Sharon Howell.
