Hibiki Ryouga The Eternally Lost, P-chan

Ryouga has less sense of direction than a shattered brick. He once challenged Ranma to a fight in an empty lot behind his own house, and showed up four days late because he got lost. Ryouga is another one madly in love with Akane, and hates Ranma deeply because of the engagement. Despite his love, though, he just can't bring himself to tell Akane. Now, for an interesting detail: Ryouga was cursed at Jusenkyou to turn into a little black piglet when splahsed with cold water. To Akane, his piglet form is named P-chan (she has no idea that it's Ryouga), and likes to sleep with P-chan, cuddling with P-chan right between her <AHEM>. Ryouga loves this, but is deathly afraid of what would happen if Akane found out. (Ranma does know about this, but is honor-bound not to tell Akane.) Ryouga is eternally depressed, also--in fact, one of his special attacks draws its power from his nearly incapacitating angst. (I certainly can understand him.... Fortunately, I'm not like him anymore.) Ryouga also has a hard time dealing with seeing naked/skimpily dressed females, and will develop a nosebleed from the shock. He constantly is wearing a backpack (vitally important for his wandering, since he's always lost) with a 100-pound umbrella strapped to the top, which he uses in fights. Ryouga is tied with Mousse as my favorite male character. I even seem to remind a friend of mine of Ryouga, for some reason....

Kuonji Ukyou The Cute Fiancee, Mistress of Okonomiyaki, Ucchan

(Note: Okonomiyaki is a type of Japanese pancake usually covered with meat, cheese, vegetables, etc. It is sometimes called Japanese pizza.)

Ukyou is yet another one of Ranma's fiancees. Years ago, while on their training trips, the Saotomes bumped into the Kuonjis (Ukyou and her father), and befriended each other. Now, by this time, Ranma had already been promised to one of the Tendous, and when Ukyou's father proposed an engagement between Ukyou and Ranma, Genma refused-- until the okomiyaki cart was thrown in as the dowry. Genma, being the hungry guy that he always is, accepts immediately. However, he then asks Ranma later, "Which do you like better, Ukyou or okonomiyaki?" At the time, Ranma thought Ukyou was a guy, and so answered, "Okonomiyaki!" The Saotomes run off with the okonomiyaki cart, leaving Ukyou behind. This broke her heart, and she vowed never to like boys again. In fact, she started to dress like a boy and act like one, as she learned her father's trade. Many years later, Ukyou, challenges Ranma to a fight, to get even for the heartbreak that he caused so long ago. Ranma really can't understand what's going on (since he never knew that the two were engaged, and still doesn't know at this point that Ukyou is a girl--hey, she dresses and acts like a guy)...until the fight. During the course of combat, Ranma inadvertantly feels up Ukyou's chest and discovers that Ukyou is in fact a girl (and gets a slap in the face for it). She continues to hate and fight Ranma until he says (kind of out of nowhere) that she's really quite cute. This stops her cold, and she stops hating Ranma and in fact starts to love him (interestingly quick change of heart). She proceeds to attempt to win Ranma away from Akane (like Shampoo and Kodachi and....) She develops a friendship with Ryouga and the two plot together to get Ranma and Akane apart for themselves.... Ukyou is seen frequently carrying an enormous spatula on her back (with which she fights and cooks) plus a bandolier of small spatulas (which she can throw with great accuracy). Geez, that was a lot! I must admit, Ukyou seems to have supplanted Shampoo as my favorite female character. In fact, she's my favorite character overall.

Ono Toufuu The Doctor, Toufuu-sensei

Ono Toufuu (Toufuu-sensei) is the local chiropractor and martial arts medicine specialist. He's very good at it, too--except when in the company of Tendou Kasumi, whom he has a wild crush on. In fact, when he sees Kasumi, his glasses fog up completely and becomes a simpering idiot. After these encounters, he is frequently seen dancing around gleefully with his skeleton Betty-chan. Akane once had a crush on him, but she forced herself to get over it quickly once she realized that he was in love with Kasumi (who, by the way, is completely oblivious to this--or so it seems...). Ranma visits Dr. Toufuu frequently, after being punted far into the air by Akane. Genma also works part-time at his clinic.

Happousai Dirty Old Man, The Lecher

Happousai was/is also Soun's and Genma's master and likes to call himself Ranma's master as well (although Ranma wants nothing to do with him). He is very, very skilled. However, his most notable position is being the local pervert. That bag that he is frequently seen carrying is usually filled with women's panties and bras. He loves to glomp on to the chests of any nice looking female around, including Ranma-chan (and he will splash Ranma with cold water just to cop a feel). In fact, he is so addicted that if he doesn't touch a young woman's body or their underwear, he loses his strength. Many years ago, when he trained Soun and Genma, he was extremely harsh, and in retribution, the two locked their master into a cave sealed with a chain, He managed to break out after all those years and returns to the Tendou Dojo. His two students are still deathly afraid of him.

Kurenai Tsubasa The Crossdresser, Master of Disguises

Notice how I said "Master" instead of "Mistress". Actually, you probably noticed the Crossdresser part, too. Yes, This really kawaii (cute) girl is in fact a guy. Tsubasa is a friend of Ukyou's from junior high, and was/still is madly in love with her. But Tsubasa likes any girl who is nice to her--uh, him. He still hangs around Ukyou, especially near Ucchan's, her okonomiyaki restaurant. Sh--He is very skilled with disguises, and likes to hide as a tree, mailbox, the sign in front of Ucchan's...makes it alot easier for him to stalk Ukyou.

Gosunkugi Hikaru The Straw Doll Guy

Always referred to by his last name, Gosunkugi.... He's not much. He's another of Furinkan's students, and is also hung up on Akane. He tries to use voodoo to get Akane (explaining the straw dolls and the pictures he constantly takes) and other types of magic (which is what those candles he sometimes has strapped to his head are all about). He's thin, pale, and always has these circles under his eyes. He attempts to use disguises, but they're nowhere near as good as Tsubasa's.... His weapons are the small mallet and the iron nails that he carries.

Hiroshi and Daisuke Those Two Guys

They're always there. They're always together. They're...Hiroshi and Daisuke! These are two of Ranma's school friends, always in the background making cracks and various remarks.
