An explanation: the Golden Pair is a martial arts figure skating pair (don't ask how that works; just watch them in action). Believe it or not, there's some fanfics out that focus on them as main characters, not just some villains. Check them out here.

Shiratori Azusa The Cute One

The first thing that comes to mind when it comes so Azusa is cute. She loves cute things, and will relentlessly pursue anything that looks cute, take it for herself, and give it a silly French female name.( If it's in the possession of a male, she will beat him until he gives it to her.) Take, for example, Akane's pet piglet P-chan (actually Ryouga's cursed form). She takes P-chan from Akane and calls him Charlotte. (She doesn't care that P-chan's a he.) Akane and Ranma must challenge the Golden Pair in martial arts skating to win "Charlotte" back.

Sanzenin Mikado The Playboy

Mikado is the other half of the Pair. He's kinda hentai (perverted), in that he has this goal of kissing...is it 100, or 1000 different females? Whatever. One of his favorite tactics during a skating match is to kiss the female opponent--not only is it effective at breaking her concentration, it advances that little goal of his. As it turned out, he kissed Ranma-chan. Ranma sure didn't appreciate that (and what a pity, this being his/her/whatever first kiss)....
