I know this pairing isn't terribly likely. Hell, they've never even MET, but I always thought that Akari and Shinnosuke would make a good couple. They just strike me as compatible personalities. And that sumo pig won't be a problem, either (think about it. Shinnosuke spends his days beating the crap out of sedan sized gerbils, a semi-sized platapus [sic] and a buzzard the size of a DC-10. You think a PIG is going to give him problems?).

I can see Kurumi (the older of the two sisters in the OAV: Akane and her Sisters or The One to Carry On) ending up with Shinosuke. They've never met true, but they could probably meet through Akane. Kurumi is a kind girl who's good at cooking, and Ryogenzawa would be an ideal place for her to train. Shinnosuke is also a kind if somewhat forgetful boy, that would treat Kurumi well and enjoy her cooking immensely (he ate Akane's cooking for God's sake!). Also Kurumi's younger sister, Natsumi, and Kurumi herself would enjoy the sense of "family" that Shinnosuke and his grandfather could provide.

I do have a suggestion for those 'suggested pairs'. I read the one about Karumi and Shinnosuke (BTW, Karumi is the younger one) and personally, I think Natsume would do better with Shinnosuke. She's sophisticated, devoted, and she could probably cok very well. I mean, if Karumi was stealig the food and they had no money, Natsume *must* have cooked something at times. Well, going back to Natsume and Shinnosuke, Natsume would help him a great deal in fighting off all those monsters in Ryogenzawa and probably would like the quiet atomosphere.
