HAS MEMBERSHIP INFO

We have two levels of membership: paid and regular (free).

Regular Members:

  • Have access to all of our showings (free) and any food that we provide.
  • Can enter any raffles that we do (1 entry)
  • Can borrow the anime that we are currently screening at our free showings (this way in case you miss a showing you can catch up on episodes)

Anyone can come to HAS showings (and eat our food for free), but wouldn't you rather be one of the special ones? One of those who belong? One of the...members?

Paid Members:

  • Show your HAS membership card for a 10% discount on selected items at Tokyo Kid and Million Year Picnic in Harvard Square.
  • Check out tapes from the wonderous and ever-increasing HAS Tape and DVD Library. (Note: You may check out up to 4 tapes or DVDs at a time for 28 days. Fore more info. go here)
  • When we raffle off promotional items, HAS members get two entries instead of one = twice the normal chance of walking away with your hands full :)
  • HAS members also get to vote in elections. So you have the power to choose who runs the show!

All you need to be a member is $10 and a working e-mail address. Put both into the hot little hands of any of the officers and you're good to go for an entire year.

SCREENING MEMBERSHIP INFO

This year we have a new tier of membership! We ask that all non-HAS members sign up as Screening Members, which allows us to accurately report our attendee count to Harvard University. There is no fee associated with this level of membership, and we do not share your personal information with anyone.

All you need to be a member is to come to a showing or two, then sign up and you're good to go for an entire year. Sign up on our forms during a showing, or email the following information to anime@toad.hcs:

  • Name
  • E-mail address
  • Harvard Class Year/Affiliation (Alum, Grad Student, or other Affiliation)
  • Are you willing to draw artwork?

What's the benefits of this membership?
Well, you help us better represent who is interested in Anime Society and watching good stuff with us to the college. What's more, generally the more people involved in the club~> the more money we get~> the more anime we buy! Also, by signing up for screening membership, you help yourselves! Because screening members are eligible to put their names in once whenever we raffle off cool free stuff.

HAS MAILING LIST

The mailing list is primarily for announcements about HAS showings and upcoming anime-related events. It's a fairly low-volume list and open to anyone interested. To join, just go to the following url: http://lists.hcs.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/anime-list and fill out the form under the heading, "Subscribing to anime-list."

Upon receiving this, the program will automatically add you to the list. To leave the list, simply go to the same website, put your email address in the final data entry field, and follow the directions. These new mailman lists make subscribing and unsubscribing easy as pie!

ANIME-SOCIAL MAILING LIST

This mailing list is primarily for social discussion of anime-related events and topics. Its a great way to learn about anime events(cons, lectures, informal showings etc.) that you might not have known about. To join, follow the same directions as above, but instead go to: http://lists.hcs.harvard.edu/mailman/listinfo/anime-social

More information about Harvard mailman mailing lists can be found at http://www.fas.harvard.edu/computing/docs/lists/
