Fall Term 2004 Calendar

Set in the future, Metropolis has a strictly segmented society of humans and robots. Amidst the chaos created by anti-robot factions, detective Shunsaku Ban and his sidekick Ken-ichi are searching for rebel scientist Dr. Laughton. But when they locate him, his secret laboratory is in flames, and instead Ken-ichi finds Tima, a beautiful young girl bereft of memory and speech, seemingly helpless at the site. Little does he know that Tima is a new top-of the-line android created to take over Metropolis, and that behind her creation lie the ambitions of a powerful man and his fierce desire to reclaim a tragic figure from his past.

Known as the Scrapped Princess, Pacifica and her adoptive brother Shannon, an expert with the sword, and adoptive sister Racquel, who is powerful with magic, go on a journey to save her life and to figure out some way to survive.

I, My, Me! Strawberry Eggs

(c) Pioneer Amawa Hibiki is a young man just out of college, with an education to be an athletics teacher. When his landlady demands his first payment to live in her living establishment upfront, he heads to the local middle school for a job. However, the principal refuses to hire men as teachers and makes it clear that she hates all men, saying they put no love into their passions and work. But Amawa does not give up and with the help of his landlady, he dresses as a woman and is promptly hired, so he can earn money and also prove the principal wrong. Now, he has to keep his real gender a secret, and avoid strange situations, including the affections of his students (from both genders).

Serial Experiments Lain

We're all connected... There is the world around us, a world of people, tactile sensation and culture. There is the wired world, inside the computer, of images, personalities, virtual experiences and a culture all of its own. The day after a classmate commits suicide, lain, a thirteen-year-old girl, discovers how closely the two worlds are linked when she receives an email from the dead girl: "I just abandoned my body. I still live here..." Has the line between the real world and the wired world begun to blur?

Rune Soldier

Armed with Merrill's cunning, Genie's strength and Melissa's prayers, this all-female band has no trouble raiding ancient ruins-unless a magic seal blocks the way. As an investment, the girls decide to hire a magician. Any magician. Alas, all of the available magicians prefer reading to raiding-except Louie. Swallowing their pride (and several pints), the girls take on the loud, brash novice. In return, the hapless Louie gives them all the adventure they can handle-and then some!
