Christine
Megerdichian
Co-President
A neurobiology concentrator and a
member of the class of 2007, Christine spent the past summer doing
cancer research at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. From
there she traveled to Yerevan, Armenia, where she worked with professors
from the Harvard Graduate School of Public Health and doctors from
California on measuring the effectiveness of anti-smoking advertisements.
There, she gave talks to groups of college students as well as physicians
on the effects of smoking, and provided translated materials for both
patients and physicians. Upon graduation, Christine hopes to go on
to medical school and pursue a career in Pediatric Oncology. She has
high hopes that by the time she graduates, the Harvard Armenian Society
will have established itself as a prominant part of the Harvard community,
continuing to contribute to intercultural relations on campus and
off.
