Audition for BachSoc

Auditions 2012-13

Auditions this year will be held at the following times and places:

• Wednesday 9/5: 8-10pm, Music Building G20
• Thursday 9/6: 8-10pm, Music Building G20
• Friday 9/7: 8-10pm, Music Building G20
• Saturday 9/8: 10am-2pm, Music Building G19

Please sign up for an audition time using the online sign-up tool, and plan on arriving at least 10 minutes before your audition time. If desired, a warm-up room will be available starting 10 minutes before your audition time.

Directions to the audition rooms:

• All auditions will be held in the music building, located just behind the Science Center. Go through the front entrance of the Science Center, walk straight down the hallway, and exit through the back door. The entrance to the music buidling will be just ahead and to your left. Enter the building and take the stairs on your left to the basement, then follow the signs to rooms G19 and G20.

The Audition Process

Our super-relaxed auditions include only 5 to 7 minutes of playing total in front of our Music Director, our General Managers, and perhaps the principal player from your section. Please prepare two contrasting selections from your instrument's standard repertoire.

We will also offer mid-year auditions during January reading period. To sign up for an audition time, please send us an email (bachsoc@hcs.harvard.edu) with your name, instrument, and general availability.
