Since 2004, the Bach Society Orchestra has been campaigning to establish an endowment fund with Harvard University. Thanks to generous alumni donations and the continued support of the general public, we have successfully raised the minimum $25,000 necessary to do so. This is truly a monumental step in BachSoc's financial stability: while we relied solely upon grants and alumni donations in the past, we are now annually guaranteed a certain amount of money from the University itself, benefitting from professional management by the Harvard Corporation. The orchestra is thrilled to have such a stable base upon which to grow and prosper.
Our sincerest thanks go to all who offered contributions in support of our efforts. We hope you will continue to support BachSoc as it turns its attention to other laudable goals, such as an international tour in the near future. The sooner we can raise enough money for this to be feasible, the sooner we can share our music. Any amount you would like to contribute is greatly appreciated, no matter how large or small.
To make a tax-deductible donation to our endowment fund and help secure the orchestra's preeminence for years to come, please make out a check to "Harvard University" with "Bach Society Orchestra" in the memo and send it to:
