HIV Transmission Overseas

Dr. Kenneth McIntosh discussed his experiences overseas as a result of his clinical research with HIV. His focus is on preventing mother-to-child transmission through collaborations with groups in Thailand and in Sub-Saharan Africa. The bioethical issues that arise in these settings involve stigma, access to care, and the clash of local custom with modern medicine.

Dr. McIntosh is currently a professor of pediatrics at the Harvard Medical School.
