Ethics in the Genetic Era

HUBS hosted Dr. Robert Green, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Genetics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School,for a discussion “Ethical Issues in the Genetic Era.”

Dr. Robert is also Associate Director for Research at the Partners HealthCare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine. In August, 2012, Dr. Green was featured in the New York Times article, “Genes Now Tell Doctors Secrets They Can’t Utter,” and his self-described “research interests have evolved from a focus on clinical trials and genetic epidemiology to a focus on translational genomics and health outcomes.” In addition, Dr. Green participates in the National Human Genome Research Institute study section on Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues.
