(If you'd like to find out about 2005's dinner, please click here, especially for updates on the children for whom we worked!)

The first annual Harvard China Care was a great success! We hope that you had a lovely time while listening to Dr. Saich, enjoying the musical performances, and also learning more about China's abandoned and orphaned children. Thank you to eveyrone who attended, as well as all our sponsors and donors. We raised $34,000 in total. With all your help, the children at the Saiqi Orphanage are so much closer to realizing their dream of a healthier, happier life.

Here are the ways in which this money will make a difference:

  • $1000 covers the operational costs of a Children's Home for two weeks.
  • $2500 covers the operational costs of Saiqi Orphanage for one month.
  • $4000 pays for two cleft lip/palate surgeries.
  • $5000 pays for a heart surgery or a spina bifida procedure.

Photos of the event can be viewed on our Picasa Web Album.
