
It's hard to believe that Harvard China Care, founded in the autumn of 2003, is only in its fourth year. To those who've watched the organization grow, it seems that we've come an incredibly long way. Of course, there's an endless amount of aid we can give, and so much remains to be done. Here's a run-down of we've accomplished so far.
Highlights of the 2005-2006 year...
- Raised more than $14,000 through the Boston Marathon, a dinner and silent auction, and Halloween trick or treat.
- Supports the operation of Saiqi Orphanage with $2000-$2500 monthly contributions.
- Sent 12 volunteers to four orphanages all around China.

Highlights of the 2004-2005 year...
- Raised more than $30,000, with which we supported a life-saving heart surgery, the Bethel Foster Home for blind orphans, and the operation costs of Saiqi Orphanage.
- Hosted the first China Care Conference, which resulted in 30 new China Care clubs at colleges inthe U.S. and Canada.

- A year of beginnings: the first Dumplings playgroup, the first volunteers to China, and the first Boston Marathon fundraiser, which raised $3500 to help a family adopt a little boy from China.
