"I've been running for the past 8 years both on track and cross-country teams and for fun. Because I enjoy running, the marathon will be an exciting and important challenge for me. This race will be greater than any other I've run both in distance and in purpose. "I love HCC and the children we support. I feel that running the marathon will be a chance for me to physically and emotionally dedicate myself to a cause in which I sincerely believe. It will also provide me with an opportunity to help raise the much needed funds for our various projects. All the children I ever met through Dumplings, the MeiMeiJieJie Program, and in China will be my source of energy and stamina. I have never considered myself fit or athletically capable, so running 26.2 miles will be a huge yet worthy task I hope to complete." ---Jessica Yang
